Music Whakatane, in partnership with Chamber Music New Zealand, is proud to present the Antipodes Quartet, an ensemble of young musicians on the cusp of professional careers.

The newly formed Antipodes Quartet comprises violinist Eden Annesley from New South Wales, Māori (Te Whānau-ā-Apanui)/Japanese violinist Mana Waiariki, Sydney-born viola player Tal Amoore and Nelson-born cellist Lavinia Rae.

The programme is:
Joseph Haydn - String Quartet in F Major, op. 50 no. 5, "The Dream" (22')
Anton Webern - Langsamer Satz (10')
Salina Fisher - Heal (8')
Maurice Ravel - String Quartet in F Major (28')

Antipodes Quartet will be performing at St George & St John Church, on Friday 12th September at 7:30pm.
